Founder and Principal of A OFICINA - Design e Arquitetura, E.I., a micro design and architecture studio based in Maputo since 2018. Access the Studio here. 

I practice at the intersection between meaning, aesthetics and commerce. As an external examiner of university student work, I look to architecture as an act of translation. 

I am currently furthering my knowledge in M&E and QMS in order to integrate multidisciplinary teams and benefit others through transfer of skills learnt in the building industry.

Architect Experience: Qualified Professional Architect (PrArch - SACAP). 10+ year Experience ranging from design development through to contract administration and construction oversight. Primarily in small to medium-scale commercial and institutional building projects in South Africa (R5 million– R37 million), and in Africa (DRC - $2 million, Nigeria). Scope: Alterations & additions, new buildings.

QMS Experience: NM ISO 9001:2015 & NM ISO 19011:2018. Compiled two standard operating procedures manuals (as team member and lead, respectively), for private companies operating in engineering and construction management sectors in Mozambique (2021-2022). Implemented M&E and QA/QC to socioeconomic processes in land access and involuntary resettlement, as a contract Quality Control Officer in a high-visibility LNG project in Afungi, Mozambique (2018-2020).
